Obituary of Dora May Kennedy

Dora May Kennedy passed away on September 5, 2020 at the age of 95. She was born November 28, 1924 in Bay City Michigan. Dora's mother was Edna Robbins and her father was William Robbins of Bay City MI. She was married to Gerald Scott Lewis who predeceased her and Jerry Kennedy who also predeceased her. She is survived by 3 children, Gary Lee Kennedy of Bay City, Barbara Lewis-Mack of Midland and Roger Lewis of British Columbia; four grandchildren, A.S Lewis of British Columbia, Melody Lewis of British Columbia, and Andrew Scott Lewis of Alberta Canada, and Billy Rae Andress of Bay City; her special cat, Toby; friends, Linda, Sherrie and Bree; nephews, Lester Robbins and Rick Robbins; and the extended Robbins family of nieces and nephews. Dora graduated from Bay City Business College and went to work at Auto Lite, and was Miss Auto Lite in 1944. Dora went on to build East West Lewis Drive subdivision and the Will-Lew Bar. Dora also owned the Log Cabin Bar at Bay City State Park. Dora loved animals and always had an open door for stray dogs and cats. A private Memorial Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Memorial Contributions to the Bay City Humane Society.
