Obituary of Gabriel Avis Gonzalez

Gabriel Gonzalez passed away Monday, September 7, 2020. He was born on August 19, 1975 in Saginaw, Michigan to José Gonzalez and Juanita Padilla. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force after having served for 22 years. He enjoyed traveling, attending concerts, sporting events, and spending a lot of time outdoors, as he was huge into exercise as well. The one thing he loved the most was spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Mercedes Gonzalez and her fiancé Davion Johnson; three brothers, Nick Gonzalez and his fiancee Nicki Secord, Julian Padilla and Emilio Padilla; step-father, Enrique Padilla; a nephew, Nicholas Gonzalez; a younger niece, Lilliana Padilla; and many other family members who all loved him very much… and he loved them all even more. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Harvest Assembly of God, 625 S. 17th Street, Saginaw MI 48601, with Pastor Gonzalez officiating. The family will receive friends at church prior to the service, from 12 PM – 1 PM.
