I first met Terry at my mother's house. He was her mail carrier and she couldn't say enough good things about him! She knew that he had served in Vietnam and that he had seen things he wished he hadn't...but he did his duty with honor and pride!
The next time we met he was the engineer on the train at Junction Valley Railway. My son loved trains and through Terry we learned about the model railroad group Terry was part of. We saw the model RR group at the Saginaw Fairgrounds and from then on, he let us know where the group was setting up so that we could come come visit the set-up. He DID LOVE trains!
Terry was always patient with our son and his friends who were SO excited to see 'Terry and the Trains' again. I think he enjoyed sharing their excitement and he enjoyed telling them all about the train set... how they built it, how they moved it, the types of trains and cars they used....The set up always had something new and different. My son was fascinated! We all were and Terry was happy to share his information and interest.
We were so sorry to hear that Terry passed away. He has always had a special place in my family's heart! My family's sincerest condolences to his family. He was a VERY special man and I know that he is already missed by everyone who knew him!

My condolences to Terry's family. I knew Terry for over 50 years & have many good memories. Enjoyed our conversations when buying uniforms from him, including U of M football. Terry was a knowledgeable & dedicated NALC Insurance Rep. & was always eager to offer assistance. Terry was a good guy! Peace my friend.

Terry was always proud of his Saginaw High "roots". He loved the Marching Trojans. He supported his school, often returning to the scholarship rewards ceremony to honor the graduating seniors.
He will be missed by us all.

I didn't really know Terry very well while at SHS but I got to know him when we both worked on our reunion committee. We became very good friends and would talk on the phone quite often over the past 25 years or so. I'll miss him. Rest In Peace, Buddy.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Terry and I were co-workers at one time in the P.O. Our jobs caused us to drift apart but we were always friends
RIP Terry.
