Obituary of Sheryl Lee Wright

Sheryl Lee Wright, age 72, of Midland, MI, passed peacefully on October 18, 2020 after an inspiring battle with breast cancer. Sheryl was a beloved mother to Scott (Melissa) Wright, Chris (Melani) Wright, and Tiffany (Andy) Sammons. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Brandon, Dylan, Madison, Dalton, Kylie, Priya, Ferris, Ryker and Mavyn. Sheryl is survived by her former husband and friend Gary Wright; brothers, Larry (Gloria) Griffin and Terry Roy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Roy and Leatrice (Roy) Buttrick, of Rhodes, MI. Sheryl was blessed with many devoted friendships that brought joy to her life, including her very close friends Marilyn Friedle and Caroyln Shann. She retired from Century Link and continued working part-time in the community. Sheryl enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing golf, camping, quilting, and most of all shopping. At Sheryl's request no services will be held and a private burial will take place. The family is planning to honor her with a celebration of life at a later date.
