Obituary of Karen I. Martin

Karen Ilene (Shetler) Martin, age 78, of Rose City passed peacefully Sunday November 1, 2020 due to complications from surgery. She was born September 28, 1942 to Earl and Shriley (Pardee) Shetler in Flint Michigan. She graduated from Clio High School with highest honors in 1960. After high school, she went to cosmetology school and worked as a hairdresser until she joined the family business, Shetler Pump Company in Clio, Michigan. She married Richard Martin in 1970 and was happily married as a homemaker for 50 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard; daughter, Lillian Pinchock; son, Gregory Martin; 2 granddaughters, Stacey Rouse and Katrina Pinchock; 7 great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Schriner, Travis Morrow, Rylynn and Donna Marchbanks, Lacey and Laney Coleman; and her 3 furbabies, Chester, Zina and Squirt. Karen was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She loved being home, playing games on the computer, taking care of her doggies, watching all the wildlife out her window, and loving on her family. Per her request, no memorial service will be held and cremation has taken place.
