Memories of my Aunt Mary
My early memories of Aunt Mary were that of a beautiful young woman. She was the mother of several of my cousins. I often had trouble getting along well with my cousins, and I remember Aunt Mary as a peacemaker. Jesus said "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." - Matthew 5:9 NIV
I remember also her great sense of humor and her infectious laugh. Many times I saw her laugh until the tears began rolling down her cheeks.
I remember too, in her later years, a great dedication to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I know she wanted all who were close to her to place their faith and trust in Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross for our sins. She believed fully in His glorious resurrection and looked forward to that time of seeing her Savior face to face. We can all take comfort in that.
