Obituary of Corinne V. Slancik
Slancik, Corinne “Connie”
Bridgeport, MI
11/16/1935 – 11/08/2020
On November 8, 2020, while surrounded by family, Good Shepherd Jesus carried Corinne into His House where she now dwells forever.
She was a member of Bridgeport Community Church, the American Legion, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She enjoyed going to church and loved to polka in Frankenmuth. Traveling around allowed her to see God’s creation and rejoice in all that He made. Visiting with family and friends was a part of her daily life. She looked forward to morning coffee with her friends at McDonald’s and found great joy in visiting Grace Lutheran Church in Auburn, MI, where her grandson Aaron Schian is the Pastor.
She is survived by her three daughters, Rose Stevenson, Barbara (Tom) Schian, and Jody Reminder; grandchildren, Cory Smith, Aaron (Ruth) Schian, and Ryan (Nicole) Schian; great-grandchildren, Addyson Smith, Macie Schian, and Hudson Schian; sisters, Marilynn Trinklein (best friend) and Willa Sherman; special friends, the Albrecht family, the Lacy family, the Andres family, Melvin Gay and family; and good friends, Doris Gamon and Arlene Tuck. She also shared many memories with relatives, nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Slancik; her parents, Verna and Chester Foster; and sister, Rosamond Damore. A special thank you from the family to McLaren Hospice of Bay City for their exceptional care. Due to the COVID pandemic, a private Christian funeral service for immediate family will be held at a later date.
