Obituary of John Edward Kreh

John Edward Kreh, age 72, passed away peacefully at home in Caro, MI on November 9, 2020. He was born on September 22, 1948 to the late James Leroy and the late Annabel (Soldan) Kreh of Caseville, MI. He graduated as Salutatorian from Caseville High School in 1966, attended Alma College 1966-67, and received his Commercial Arts degree from Ferris State University in 1970. Divorced Margaret Faucher in 1986. In March of 1988, John met his beloved life partner, LuAnn Brown of Caro, MI. John was raised on the family poultry farm, Greenview Hatchery, and worked in the business from 1970 to 1990. Traveling thousands of miles as a truck driver for Buk Transport, he visited all 48 lower states and 9 Canadian provinces retiring in 2009. He worked as a local courier for Northstar Bank of Caro until the spring of 2020. Motocross was his passion. #84 competed and inspired others in hundreds of races across Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Canada starting in 1970. He shared his artistic talents by creating pencil and ink drawings of motorcycles and riders for family and friends. John was known by many nicknames – Big, Biggie and John Zo - because of this wit and jovial disposition. His favorite song is “He’s a Rebel” by the Crystals. John is survived by his life partner of 32 years, LuAnn Brown and her children Rebecca Brown of Grand Blanc, MI and Aaron Brown of Lansing, MI; stepmother, Priscilla Kreh of Caseville, MI; siblings, James (Robin Joseph) Kreh of Hoschton, GA, Lawrence (Clara) Kreh of Luxembourg, Lori (Paul) McComb of Churchville, NY, and Patti Kreh (Alex Panasiuk) of Commerce Twp., MI; stepsiblings, Veronica Haefner, of Naperville, IL, Catherine (Pete) Haefner, Lowell, MI and Leonard Schramski of Elkton, MI; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Due to COVID, a private memorial service will be held for the family. The family prefers those wishing to express their sympathy to consider a memorial donation to the Caro Garden Club or National Multiple Sclerosis Society or another charity of their choice.
