Mrs. Korpal, age 81, passed away suddenly on November 30, 2020. Janet was born in Bay City on April 13, 1939 to the late Earl and Delia (LeVasseur) Young. Janet was a 1957 graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Bay City. She married Andrew Korpal Jr. in Bay City on April 26, 1958. He passed away in January 2020 after nearly 62 years of marriage. Janet enjoyed needle point, gardening, and reading, but most of all being a loving & devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. Mrs. Korpal is survived by her 3 daughters, Jani (Andy) Malowinski of Bay City, Denise Korpal of Bay City, and Andrea Korpal and fiancé Rick Roenicke of Bay City. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Stephen (Heidi) Hockman of Bay City, Theodore Hockman of Grand Rapids, Kristina (Tony) Korpal-Zins of Saginaw, and Jeremy (Megan) Korpal-Zins of Midland; great-grandchildren, Alexandrea, Victoria, Chase and Olivia; sister, Mary Hewitt of Bay City; brother, Tim(Neoma) Young of Bay City; and many nieces and nephews.
