Obituary of Harry Allen Gordon

Harry Gordon, age 92, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020. He was born in Owendale, Michigan on August 8, 1928 to the late Jack and Julie (Locke) Gordon. He actively donated to St. Jude Children’s Medical Research Center. He enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, listening to music, watching farmers work out in the field, trips to the casino, working in the woods, and taking care of his AFC home before retiring. More than anything, he loved being around his family that he loved so very much. He is survived by Almeda (Sturgeon) and Wally Struntz of Grand Haven, MI, David and Alyce Sturgeon of Coopersville, MI, Carol Beals Sturgeon- Tyler of Muskegon, MI, Allen and Lori Sturgeon of Holland, MI, Tim Sturgeon of Newberry, MI, Dan and Jane Sturgeon of Newberry, MI, Kathy McNamara and Dan Ocko of Newberry, MI, Jackie and Joe Whalen of Newberry, MI, Harry Gordon Jr of Newberry, MI, Shelia (Bridge/Gordon) Caswell of Newberry, MI, and Amy and Jon Geeck of Coleman, MI; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Harry was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Ann (DeVerney) Gordon; children, Robert Lee Sturgeon, Donald Gordon Sr., Larry Dean Gordon, Carter Wayne Gordon, Tony Gordon, and Allen Gordon; daughter, Mary Margaret (Bullis) Sturgeon; grandchildren, Laura May Sturgeon, Henry Allen Sturgeon, and Robert Lee Sturgeon; great-grandchildren, Finley Reed Gordon, Aubrie Jo-Lynn Gordon, and Eli Reed Gordon; brothers, Cecil Gordon, Harvey Gordon, & Basil Gordon; sisters, Lynn (Winters) Gordon, Alice (TenBrink) Gordon, Bertha (Davis) Gordon, and Lorraine (Schuitema) Gordon. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held January 8, 2021, from 11 AM – 4 PM, at 5130 N. Alamando Road Coleman, MI 48618.
