Obituary of Jessie Irene Tuckerman

Tuckerman, Jessie Bay City, Michigan Jessie Irene Tuckerman age 77 of Bay City, MI, formerly of Kalamazoo and Saginaw, MI, passed away on February 6, 2021, at her home with her daughter by her side, after courageously battling lung cancer. Jessie was born on October 10, 1943 in Saginaw, MI to the late Arthur and Henrietta (Lamb) Braley. Jessie was an OR scrub nurse and later a Medical Assistant. Jessie loved family above all else. She enjoyed reading, particularly the Bible and mysteries, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved animals. Besides having a great sense of humor, Jessie was an avid gardener, and crocheted beautiful blankets. She greatly loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the dogs she had over the years. Jessie is survived by her daughter Susan (David) Dzioba, 4 grandchildren; Jamie (Christina) Sullivan, Joshua (Kaitlyn) Sullivan, Justin Dzioba and Ben Dzioba; 4 great-grandchildren; Matthew, Nolan, Savannah and Brennan; 4 nieces and 4 nephews. Jessie was preceded in death by her daughter Andrea Gerkin, her parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and her beloved dog Sasha. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace Parish/St. Mary Catholic Church, 607 East South Union Street in Bay City, on Tuesday February 16th at 11:00 A.M. with a light lunch to follow. PLEASE NOTE: COVID-19 masking and social distancing will be required. Details will be provided at the time of the service.
