Few people I’ve known in my life have shaped who I’ve become as much as Ralph “Al” Camirand ASM (a single man) as he so often liked to tease. He was a big part of so many pivotal times I can’t recall them without visualizing his presence. For three generations of our family he was “Al”, “Ralphie”, “Mr. Camirand” or “Grandpa Ralph”. He brought, advice (which he strongly encouraged us to embrace), adventure, laughter, and so much more. All of it was wrapped in his desire to see those he loved succeed in life and honestly and sincerely come to know Christ as their savior.
I loved this man and my prayer for him is that he’s where he so wanted to be these last years of life on earth - at home in Heaven with his Lord, and all those he loved who went ahead of him.
