Obituary of Deanne Bridget Scott

Scott, Deanne Midland, MI Deanne Bridget Scott, age 57, passed away on February 28, 2021. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on April 11, 1963 to the late Frank Kotch and Betty Dungey. Deanne spent over 25 years as a cashier and trainer at the Gratiot Rd. Meijer in Saginaw Michigan. She cultivated a long list of loyal customers with her warm, friendly, and talkative personality. Deanne was always ready to listen to anyone in need and lift their spirits with her infectious smile and lit up any room she walked into. Later in life, she earned an Associate’s degree from Davenport University in Health Information Technology and spent the last 2 years of her life working as a Health Information Clerk at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland Michigan which was a long-standing goal for her. She loved to cook and bake and she was famous for her peanut butter fudge, Chex mix, and cookies. Her biggest joy in life was being a mother. She would plan class parties, chaperone field trips, and show up to every event for her children. She is survived by her children, Sarah (William) Scott of Litchfield Park AZ, Amanda (Patrick) Scott of Livonia MI, and Nicholas Scott of Midland MI; significant other, Kevin Strachan of Saginaw Township MI; siblings, Dawn Jankowiak of Buena Vista MI, Frank Kotch of Frankenmuth MI, Deidre Kotch of Agoura Hills CA, Stacy (Duane) Kotch Egstad of Minneapolis MN; numerous nieces and nephews; and many caring friends. No service has been planned but one will be held at a later time.
