Obituary of Paul William Sweeney

Sweeney, Paul William Tawas City, MI Paul, age 77, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor, Florida. Paul William Sweeney was born in Ubly Michigan on November 1, 1943 to the late David and Edanna (Walker) Sweeney. Paul married Angeline Krompetz on August 18, 1979 in Saginaw, Michigan, and she survives him. Paul graduated from Ubly High School in 1961, and then went on to attend Bay City Junior College where he obtained an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. After graduating, Paul enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in England. Paul was an active member of St. Mark Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus in Au Gres. Paul and Angie loved to golf with family and friends. Paul is survived by his wife, Angie; his daughter, Jessica (Chris) Iloff; grandsons, Brock and Ben Sheaves; great-grandchildren, Joe and Elijah; and his brother Frank (Pat) Sweeney. He was predeceased by his sister Ruth Ann (Sweeney) Van Erp; and his brother, David Sweeney. In keeping with Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to St. Mark Catholic Church.
