Obituary of Edward Philip Barlow, Sr.

Barlow, Edward Philip Sr. Flint, MI Ed went to his eternal home on March 28, 2021 at the age of 86. He was born in Ypsilanti, MI on December 21, 1934 to the late William and Harriet Barlow. Ed was a Korean War Veteran, and once he returned home from the service, he went to work at GM until he retired. He married Jill on May 21, 2016, after 27 years together. He enjoyed working with wood, loved to fish and hunt with his sons. He was an active member in the VFW. He was a member of VFW Post #2777 and was a past Post Commander of VFW Post #5666 in 1990-1991, a past Commander 2004-2006 of VFW District #11, and past VFW Post Commander 2011-2012 of VFW Post #8236. Ed is survived by his wife Jill; his children, Edward Jr. (Debbie), Michelle (Roger Sr.), John (Michelle), Philip (Lorelei); stepdaughters, Milissa (Mike) Ragatz and Lori (Rob) Durance; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Barb Noyce; several nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Judith; son, Larry; grandson, Edward III; brothers, Fred and Bing; sister, Mary; step-granddaughter, Lillian; and step-great-granddaughter Maylee.
