Obituary of Kellie Lynne Gerdau -Thiel

Kellie Lynne Gerdau passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in Saginaw Michigan after a short battle with cancer. Kellie was born in Bellaire, Ohio on July 19, 1970 to the late James and Lillian (Ankrom) Gerdau. Kellie loved animals, gardening and cooking. She is survived by her husband, Joseph P. Thiel whom she married on October 4, 2019; son Christopher Pacifico; daughter, Jessica “Jessie” Abate; step son, Timothy “Timmy” Abate; her brother, Robert (Terry) Gerdau of Pierpont; and many nieces and nephews. Kellie was preceded in death by her sisters, Pam Marthaler and Tina Gerdau; brothers, William Gerdau and James “Jimmy” Gerdau; and infant brother, Albert Reese Gerdau. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to The Humane Society of Saginaw County.
