Obituary of Patricia Anne Piechocki

Patricia Anne Piechocki, of Midland, Michigan, passed away on April 7, 2021 at the age of 72. The daughter of the late Joseph Tomczyk and Olga Tomczyk (Cieply), Patricia was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 21, 1948. She is survived by her husband, Carl; her son, Steven (Amy) Piechocki; her daughter, Pamela (David) Dancu; her brothers, Joseph (Madelyn “Archie”) Tomczyk, Jim “Spirit” (Karen) Tomczyk, and David (Mary DeSantis) Tomczyk; nieces and nephews; and her grandchildren, Stephanie (Kyle) Sebald and John Dancu. She was predeceased by her parents. Patricia and Carl were married for over 53 years and she loved spending time with her husband and family. Patricia loved being a Grandma and cherished the time spent over the years at their cottage at Higgins Lake and taking trips to Cedar Point with her children and then eventually her grandchildren. She was brave and rode the roller coasters, even with her grand kids! She also loved to fish, shop, plan holiday gatherings, bake, and was an excellent cook! Patricia spent most of her career working for the State of Michigan Department of Social Services where she loved to help others in her kindhearted, patient and genuine nature and also made many lifelong friendships with her colleagues. Heaven gained a beautiful angel and her family and friends will always carry beautiful memories of her in their hearts. A memorial service celebrating Patricia’s life will be delayed until later this year giving her loved ones time to be able to gather safely in her memory.
