Obituary of Paul Douglas Dean
Paul D. Dean, age 71 of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2021 at Autumnwood of Deckerville under hospice care.
Paul was born in Pigeon, Michigan on April 1, 1950 to the late Joseph M. and Doris E. (McArdle) Dean. He graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1968, and then went on to serve in the U.S. Navy assigned to the USS Hancock during the Vietnam War. Paul held a number of jobs, and the one that he truly loved the best, was tiling with the JO Wurst Co.
Paul enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and spending time on the family farm in Bad Axe. Paul was a loving son, grandson, brother and uncle being very passionate of the love and care he had for others. Paul is survived by his eight siblings, Frank, Joe Jr. (late Kim), Raymond, John (Brenda), Loretta (James) Wieszciecinski, James, Mary (Terry) Avery, and Patricia (Dan) Corcoran; goddaughter, Tina; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
Paul has been cremated and the family will be hosting a celebration of life at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Autumnwood and the staff of Compassus Hospice for their care.
