My sincerest condolences. The best memory I have of Uncle Wally is when the entire family came to Southern California for Thanksgiving. I thought it was hilarious that he wore spandex shorts under running shorts. Sending my love to you all. ❤️

To all of Walley’s loved ones; Your dad, brother, grandfather, friends…. Just a few things to share…. Walley would walk over to our house at Mershon & Congress, almost every day from 8 grade thru high school to hang out with ‘the guys’ and my mother. He played euchre, poker, and pulled a whole lot of pranks on his friends and teammates. One such event was to see who could smash cigarettes into a jug of water and bet on who would drink it… J.J won that one. Another time, JJ and I had a race from one intersection to the next one ( I was allowed to be about 10 yards ahead… Walley and my mother bet on me and everyone else bet on Jim… I won! Walley always looked out for me, never saying a word. Another funny moment was in my mother’s corvair, the trunk was in the front, and Walley climbed in and at stop lights would pop out and freak people out. He thought he was pretty awesome. He was also so proud to wear his AHHS football uniform and every Thursday brought over his helmet and cleats for me to clean up before game day…He loved being apart of the team. His quiet demeanor was always comforting and safe. His laughter, out in the back yard, talking smack, kept everyone rolling. I have missed him over the years and am heart broken to hear of his passing. Please know that he left a huge impact on so many. He was so great!
Now he can play some poker for pennies or have a euchre tournament with my mom. Blessings to all of you.
