Stephen was my older brother #2 of 7 children (I’m Jayne his younger sister #6 of the bunch).
I was glad to be with Stephen a couple of times before and during his last months in the hospital. Stephen made it to his 71st birthday on February 3rd. To the outside world we grow old. But as siblings, we know each other as we always were!
We have so many childhood stories to share, very much like other big families. Steve was the easy going fun brother! Although, often being blamed for things his older brother Michael did or should I say Michael sometimes outsmarted my dad to make things look like Steve was the culprit, LoL!
Steve went in the navy at a young age, served during Vietnam war. He became one of the cooks on the ship and came out with great cooking skills. He was granted my mom’s old family recipes after she died 1993. Although, I lived in VA back then as single parent away from many of those good family traditional dinners. Later, Stephen’s youngest son Anthony and wife Tracy moved to Manassas, VA. When Stephen was in Va visiting his family, this made visits with him easier and more often for me.
Stephen, I will miss our visits and conversations very much.
I have so many memories of you Stephen, until we meet up again!
