I'm so grateful that Maritza brought Nancy into our family all those years ago. I have so many memories with her and know she was so loved and got the chance to do so much in her time. I will miss her love of dancing and singing, how sweet she was with our dog every time she saw him, our stares across the room and her massages! Nancy had a huge heart and will certainly be missed forever. ❤️

Many great and funny memories of Nancy come to mind when I think of her. From watching WWE and rooting with her. To singing to her in the car as she looked annoyed, but would then have a little smile smirk on her face. Her smile and laugh was contagious as it would light up a room. Having her in my life and my daughters life was a blessing. She was loved by so many of us.

I'm so sad for you and your family, such a wonderful person is gone. Any time I hear the song Uptown Funk, I will think of Nancy and her love of singing karaoke. Nancy was truly a special individual, a larger-than-life presence in your life, you loved her very much and provided her with many great adventures. The adventures will provide you with many memories and allow to find comfort from them.

Q: What will you never forget about Nancy?
A: Nancy was more than an “aunt” to me. I grew up with Nancy. Majority of my childhood memories include Nancy in some way shape or form. From visiting with her at Jose and Betty’s house listening to Michael Jackson records in her room to camping, sharing a room with her, polar bear plunges and all of our family trips. Nancy was like a sister to me. As I grew up Nancy was still a consistent person in my life. From helping her in the morning and afternoons, getting our nails done to helping with my kids when they were babies. Nancy was a special person and I feel privileged to have grown up with her.

There are countless happy and heartfelt memories having been neighbors for so many years. The Arraut family always had an open door policy and the vibrancy of a full house filled with lots of love and laughter always welcomed us in. Here’s just a few memories from our family to yours as we collectively reflect on how much love and joy Nancy brought to our lives. Memories of Nancy with her ball cap on, whistle around her neck and clipboard out – running drills with the orange cones in the backyard with her friends. Loading up the kids in our station wagon and going to the Saginaw zoo or beach for the day. Painting Easter eggs on our picnic table, being such a good mother’s helper to her nieces and nephews… her patience and gentle manner… how tender and loving she was. Her infinite amount of art supplies – crayons and sharp colored pencils galore. Baking and frosting Christmas cookies together and helping plan a little party for the moms to enjoy with punch the next day. 4th of July neighborhood parades – dressing up and decorating our bikes to participate. Fireworks in the evening at Grandma & Grandpa Morford’s house. How much she loved the family dog – we’re thinking his name was Bear? The treat of having Kool-Aid together in the McDonald’s collector glassware. Summer nights watching old episodes of Bewitched or classic Disney movies. Playing for hours on our swing set and in the sand box. Picking beans in Mrs. Arraut’s garden and staying for dinner. Her beautiful and genuine smile. We loved Nancy dearly and she will live on in our hearts. ❤

I have many memories of Nancy, the most that sticks with me is the way she treated and cared for my granddaughters. Nancy could be in the worst mood and if one of them cried Nancy would go into grandma Nancy mode and pick her up and comfort her. Another memory about Nancy is the way she would gloat after beating me in bowling. She beat me many times. I'm a better person for knowing her. She touched so many people's lives. Thank you Nancy for all our adventures. Your truly going to be missed. I love you my little buddy.

Oh Nancy Pancy I am going to miss you! You are my little sister with such love and biggest smile whenever you seen me. I remember taking you camping up to Grayling and around the campfire you were trying to scare the boys. Going to Florida and going to Disney World and Busch Gardens. You always ready for an adventure. Loved going to the movies and bowling. You had so many trophies and medals Mom put a shelf around your room to display them. I can still hear Michael Jackson on your stereo downstairs in the kitchen and hear your feet on the ceiling from your dancing. Every Friday getting your hair and nails done with Mom. Going to Cedar Point and going on the log ride and getting your face wet. You were so mad at us and you let us know. You have had a great life and I'm going to miss you so much. Now your with Mom and Dad in heaven and having the best conversation ever. Please save me a place and put a good word in for me! That smile I will forever cherish.

Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Nancy?
A: Nancy was my older sister, who lived and grew up with Dwight. As well as our kids and grandkids. Nancy was adventurous and loved to try new things.
Nexteer had sponsored a Family day and Nancy begged me to do the zip line. I told her once she is up there she would not be able to get down. she said she would jump. I remember Matt had to push he off the platform, I still remember her huge smile on her face as she came down the line. she was so happy, excited and scared all at once. She wanted to go on it again, but the line was so long.
