Arraut, Nancy A.
Saginaw, MI
Nancy passed away on May 2, 2023, at the age of 59. She was born on April 5, 1964, to the late Joseph and Betty (Walker) Arraut, in Saginaw.
Early on, Nancy was one of the first to attend the Millet Center where she went on to graduate from the program at the age of 27. In 2002, she went to live with her sister Maritza, and became actively involved with the Saginaw Area 22 Special Olympics. During this time, she went on to compete in her favorite sports like Bocce Ball, Swimming, Bowling, Soccer, Basketball, and Softball competing at local and state events. Through this program Nancy was able to meet and become friends with so many people that would go on to be lifetime friends.
During the summers with Maritza and Stephanie Bush (Caretaker), she would enjoy traveling with their families to Amusement Parks, camping, motorcycles rides, boating, fishing, tubing, and really any activity you would introduce her to. She also enjoyed watching her favorite wrestlers compete, both on TV and Live in the arena where she always had to make signs to show her support. And then every now and then you would find her singing Karaoke and dancing to live music. Later, Nancy would attend Ascension St. Mary's Hospital Respite Care where she would enjoy socialization and activities with the other clients and staff.
She is survived by her siblings, Richard (Julie) Arraut, David (Allana) Arraut , Rose (Phillip) Arraut-Miller, Thomas (Gina) Arraut, Maritza (Dwight) Perkins, and sister-in-law, Sherry Arraut; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Arraut; nephew, James Arraut; great-niece, Shyane Arraut; and great-nephew, Conner Hanback.
