Obituary of Fred Warren Bennett

Fred Warren Bennett of Alger passed away May 4, 2023, peacefully in his home surrounded by family at the age of 54. Fred has been survived by his parents Ronald (Connie) Bennett of Prescott and Bonnie Tenney of Marion.
He was also survived by his wife of 33 years Deanna Lynn (Farnsworth) Bennett of Alger; his children Daryl and Madeline (Topitzes) Bennett of Milwaukee and Alycia and Nicholas Mitchell of Alger; grandchildren Nicholas, Adalynn, Emma and baby arriving in November; his sibling DeAnna (Skeet) Goodwin of Merritt; mother-in-law Jeanette (Atherton) Farnsworth of Alger; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, bonus sisters, and bonus brothers, among many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
Fred is preceded in death by his grandparents, bonus father Jon Tenney, father-in-law David Farnsworth and cousin Beth Suli.
Fred believed in family most, leaving behind a legacy of love and friendship that will continue through the generations. Fred never passed up on an opportunity to meet a stranger and learn their life story. Fred’s work ethic and integrity led him through many career paths over the years. The latest working for the Bureau of Fire Services for the State of Michigan as a Hazardous Materials Storage Inspector, bringing about many new friendships and extended family.
Along with enjoying his family time Fred enjoyed traveling on his motorcycle, camping, Amateur radio (KD8BNZ), working on his property, and of course his love for making maple syrup.
He will forever be remembered for how proud he was of his wife & children, how he always had a smile on his face, conversating with every stranger, and how he loved making memories in life.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church, 4544 W M-61 Standish, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Compassus Hospice Care.
