Obituary of Josephine Church

Josephine passed away unexpectedly at the age of 68, on August 30, 2023, surrounded by her family at McLaren Bay Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 8, 1955 to the late Faustino Torres and Sarah (Ramirez) Torres.

She is survived by her son, Brandon and his wife Ashley Church of Essexville; three grandsons, Bryce, Jackson, and Gavin Church; sisters, Lucy Bliss of Midland Michigan and Margret Smith of Essexville Michigan; and many nieces, nephews, and very close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Faustino Torres and Sarah (Ramirez) Torres; brothers, Peter, Rudy, and Faustino Torres; and her sisters, Sarah Rose and Ann Tucker.

Aside from being a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, she was also known for her zeal in service to her God Jehovah. She was baptized on October 18, 1969. She enjoyed going to congregation meetings and telling others about Jehovah in the door-to-door ministry.

She also loved being with her family and friends. She was known for her parties and making sure that everyone felt welcome. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

A Memorial service will be held at 2 PM, September 23, 2023 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5435 Kasemeyer Rd., Bay City, MI 48706.  

Following her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank the staff at McLaren Bay Regional Medical Center and her doctors, for making Josephine’s last few days as comfortable as possible.
