Obituary of David Dorland

Dorland, David Coleman, Michigan David Dorland, age 49, passed away at home with his family after a 13 month battle with glioblastoma multiforme, an aggressive brain cancer. He was born June 28, 1966 in Cass City, MI to Otis and Donna (Mitchell) Dorland. David was a graduate of Cass City High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Kimberly Parrish on June 25, 1986 in Roanoke, Virginia. David was employed by Dow Corning as a Chemical Process Operator and was a hard worker. He enjoyed traveling, watching hockey, and being a Michigan Patriot Guard. David is survived by his wife Kimberly; sons, Zach and Sarah Dorland of Loomis, Cody and Kendra Dorland of Coleman, daughter Brittany and Ryan Chrcek of Saginaw; grandchildren, Gideon, Isaiah, and Elsie Dorland of Loomis, Collin Chrcek of Saginaw; his mother; his canine companion Mia; siblings, Cheryl Kilbourn of Cass City, Kathy (Toby) Guinn of Decker, Jim Dorland of Deford, Barb (Dave) Macomb of Cass City, Tim (Lorna) Dorland of Deford, Tom (Kathy) Dorland of Cass City, Deb (Dave) Heacock of Charlotte; mother-in-law, Linda (Don) Noble of Frankenmuth; brother-in-law, Kevin Parrish of Cass City; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceeded in death by his father and grandparents. Per David's wishes cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled.
