Frank Victor Serresseque, age 88, died on January 2, 2016 with his family at his side.
Mr. Serresseque was born on September 2, 1927 to the late Frank and Victorine Serresseque in Detroit, MI. He was a graduate of Redford High School in Detroit. He went on to earn his Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Drama from Michigan State University. In the middle of his graduate studies, he took a 4 year break during which time he served 4 years in the United States Army. He began teaching at Bay City Central High School in 1955 and taught there until 1989. Mr. Serresseque taught drama, English, and speech. He also created and taught the humanities program at Central High. Frank was an accomplished and acclaimed singer and actor. His operatic bass baritone was enjoyed by audiences at countless plays, musicals, operas and oratorios. He was a favorite director and performer for decades at The Bay City Players. In addition to teaching and performing, he was a choir director and organist at several area churches.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Serresseque of Bay City, his son Paul Serresseque of Bear, Delaware, his daughter Janine Serresseque and son-in-law Andy Cleveland of Richmond , Virginia. A Memorial Service will be held on February 13, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 911 Center Ave. (Center Ave. at N. Grant St.), Bay City MI. The family will receive friends at church prior to the service from 10 AM – 11 AM.
