Obituary of Garret C. O'Berski

O'Berski, Garret C. Ubly, MI Garret C. O'Berski, age 60 of Ubly, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Huron County Medical Care Facility after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. Garret was born on May 24, 1956 in Bad Axe, MI to the late Elmer M. and late Bernice J. (Masa) O'Berski. Garret graduated from Ubly High School. He worked for Roth Drywall for over 40 years. Garret was a past member of the Bingham Township Fire Dept, Ubly Jaycees, and was also a Little League coach. Garret loved fishing, hunting, golfing, and spending time with his family and many friends. Garret is survived by, and will forever be missed by, his brother, Kenneth (Christine) O'Berski of Ubly; sisters, Kathy (Larry) Kelly of Bad Axe and Diana (Ron) Adrianse of Oscoda; nieces and nephews, Jodie (Marc) Collver of Sugar Hill, GA, Richard M. Nelson of Oscoda, Chad (Ashley) O'Berski of Bad Axe, Michelle (Andy) Davis of Norton Shores, Garret S. O'Berski of Mt. Pleasant, and Julie (David) Westhaus of Mt. Pleasant; special friend, Sue Messing; great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Dennis O'Berski; sister-in-law, Anita O'Berski; and brother-in-law, Sgt. Richard A. Nelson. Garret's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Huron County Medical Care Facility for the wonderful care provided during his illness. Garret's wish was to be cremated. A private family and friend memorial gathering will take place at a later date.
