I saw, with a mixture of sadness and fondness, the announcement of Don's passing. His description and picture brought back a lot of good memories. For instance, Don and I had a standing bet, each year, on the outcome of the Super Bowl. Each year, we would take turns getting to pick our choice for the winner. One of the years we were in England, Don took it upon himself to choose the winner and ... picked the wrong team! He went to the bank and got the most bedraggled dollar bill they had - one due for recycling. Upon our return home, he presented me with my winnings. That bill hangs yet today on my bulletin board in my home office. A reminder of the many pleasant times with Don, a truly fine colleague.
