I would like to thank my cousins and their wives Gary & Rosalie Shann and Jerry & Carolyn Shann for their loving care they have given to our Uncle Jay. They were a blessing to him, just as Uncle Jay was to his parents for so many years. I will always remember Uncle Jay for his patient and compassionate demeanor, as an excellent host and cook when my parents, sister, and I came for Christmas and Easter, and his amazing indoor and outdoor plants. I cherish the special moments spent with Uncle Jay: enjoying a Vernor's on the porch swing in the spring/summer, the walk he took me on after a Christmas dinner to see the puppies in the window of a local pet shop, our phone conversations, and letters he wrote that helped me learn more about my family history. Uncle Jay has touched my heart deeply and will live in my heart always. God bless you, Uncle Jay, and my you rest peacefully in God's loving care.
