Obituary of William James Moriarty

Moriarty, William J. (Bill) Sr. Gladwin, Michigan Mr. Moriarty, age 70, went to be with the Lord on Monday June 26, 2017, after fighting a long illness. Bill was oldest of two boys, born in Pontiac, Michigan on May 1, 1947 to the late Calvin and Dorothy Moriarty. Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Pontiac VFW Post #1370, Gladwin Eagles Arie #3292 and the Harrison Moose Lodge #3541. He was married to the love of his life Sandra (Squires) Moriarty on July 13, 1990. They moved to Gladwin in 2000 to be closer to his parents. He loved short trips and spending time outside with his grandkids and nature. Mr. Moriarty is survived by his 5 children; William "Bill" (Laurie)Moriarty, Dawn (Adam) Lund, John (Regina)Brouhard, Shawn Brouhard and Andrew "AJ" Brouhard. Also surviving are 12 beautiful grandchildren; Taylor, Savanne (Billy), Stephen, Kevin, Hunter (Dawn) Roger, Alexis, Hailey (John, Sabrina, Branden (Shawn) Alegnia, Amiya (AJ), and his brother Von K. (Gail) Moriarty. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday July 8, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 300 N. Sliverleaf Street, Gladwin. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. At Bill's request no flowers, memorial contributions to the wishes of the family.
