Sam, you were there and very supportive of me during my service years in the Air Force, Air National Guard and Navy Reserves. You and your family have similar interests as mine. I will remember your funeral on Veteran's Day as I'm a disabled veteran myself. I used to be so good in the service. I honor you for being all those 65 years. From Roslyn Moran (Sibyl's sister).

The priceless memories of a wonderful friend and brother are forever etched in our hearts. We have shared countless hours of worship, prayer, youth groups, camping trips, potluck dinners.... which have resulted in a full life of growing together in the Lord. We will miss Sam so much but know in our hearts it is only for a time. Jesus said, "In My Fathers house there are many manisions and I go to prepare a place for you - and where I am you will be" Sam is experiencing those things now. We send our love to Joni, Angela, Sammy, their spouses and grandchildren. Susie and Mike Lutz

I had known Sam since jr high school. He was a tender-hearted man and a faithful friend. I remember girls starting in line at the "Y" dances to slow dance with him. He was the best. Also the man knew how to cook. Always looked forward to his famous taco dinners and chicken molé. We will all miss you Sam

Many times Sam would say his joke about not being able to barbecue anymore because his beans keeps slipping through the grill during one of our concerts here at the commons. He had a cornball sense of humor but that's what made him Sam. We as a collective band had the privilege of getting to know him as an individual. He loved playing in the band and we loved having him here

He left this world doing what he most loved to do. Serving. So blessed to have shared a piece of life with an amazing man of God. Of one thing I am certain, we will see him again. So I will not say goodbye, but "I miss you". A life well lived that is now at home with the Father in glory. Love you Sam, you will never be replaced.
