Obituary of Salvador "Sam" P. Castillo Sr.

Castillo, Salvador "Sam" Bay City, MI Sam, age 65, passed away Wednesday November 8, 2017. Sam was born in Saginaw on July 8, 1952 to the late Wilma (Patterson) Castillo and David Castillo. He was a member of Old Town Christian Outreach Center where he served as a Sunday School teacher and leader of Celebrate Recovery. He enjoyed playing bass guitar, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, working with different youth groups and collecting things. Sam loved a good joke, was a master of all trades, and friend to all who met him. He is survived by his wife, Joni, of 43 years; his children, Sam (Wendy) Castillo and Angela (Ben) Iseler; his grandchildren Nate, Kylee, Lucas, and Maggie Castillo and Jeremiah, Isabel, Grace, Ethan, Elijah, Aaron, Caleb, and Asher Iseler; his siblings David (Linda) Patterson, Mary Ann (Floyd) Clark, Peggy (Chuck) Norwicz, Patty Cooper, Susie Escareno, and Tina (Steve) Itter. He was predeceased by his sisters, Betty and Polly. A Life Celebration will be held on November 11, 2017 at Old Town Christian Outreach Center 600 Gratiot Avenue, Saginaw MI. Pastor Don Dinninger will officiate. The family will receive friends at Old Town Christian Outreach Center prior to the service beginning at 2:00 pm.
