Mr. Lacker was my 8th grade history teacher at Bridgeport Junior High School. He was very caring and calm. He shared his the ZEAL for the past and told many stories which caused history to come alive in his classroom. Of all the teachers I have ever had, he was one of my very favorites. I am certain I became a very successful teacher because of him.

Mr. Lacker was one of my ninth grade teachers at Bridgeport Junior High many years ago. He was a kind and caring teacher. I always liked his quiet and unassuming manner. Please accept my condolences. He was a special person.
Sincerely,
Linda Luckett Lentner

So sad to learn that Bill has gone...but actually he isn't gone at all. He certainly lives on in family and many memories. He and my late father were cousins and Bill's parents were members of the church in Saginaw where I grew up. Bill and Marcia always insisted on my staying with them during visits back to Saginaw. I shall remember Cousin Bill as a great guy with great wit. I was not surprised to learn he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa at Albion. Love of liberal arts and thinking...that was Bill. Sincere sympathies to all his family. Dave Zoellner, Summerville SC

Bill's not gone; he's swimming laps in that great pool in the sky. A nice man and good educator, with a keen sense of humor. Just running into Bill would improve one's day.

What an interesting obituary. Loved Bill's sense of humor and personality. I would like to attend the service in 2018. Don Smith and Sarah
