Obituary of Lottie Marie Hergenereder
Hergenreder, Lottie Marie
Caro, MI
(formerly of Kingston)
Lottie M. Hergenreder, age 93, died Thursday June 21, 2018 at Timberline Lodge in Caro. Lottie was born August 21,1924, at home, in Hamtramck, Michigan to the late Frank and Anna (Dominic) Woidan. During her youth Lottie's family moved to Delong Road in Deford Michigan and was raised there on a farm. Before getting married, she worked at Stanley's Bakery in downtown Caro. She married Eugene H. Hergenreder on July 3,1949. Lottie and her husband owned a grocery store in Wilmot, Michigan, and Lottie operated the store on a daily basis, managing all of that responsibility while raising two young daughters. After selling the store, Lottie worked at Snover Stamping, Walbro's of Cass City, and a manufacturing plant in Kingston. Although she was an avid gardener, and truly enjoyed tending her many flowerbeds, her greatest love was being with her family. Her enjoyment came from cooking meals and celebrating holidays with the whole family.
Lottie is survived by her daughters, Judith (Dennis) Nepper, Joan (Fred) Peter of Caro, Eugene (Sharon) Hergenreder of Cass City; grandchildren, Steven (Farrah) Hammett, Michelle (Kenneth) Buggia, Michael (Carrie) Peter, Brandon (Ashley) Hergenreder and Allison Hergenreder; 8 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Lottie was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Eugene H. Hergenreder; brothers, Andrew Woidan, Henry Woidan, Walt Woidan and Frank Woidan; and sisters, Mary Bruce, Wanda Pentowski and Genevieve McCallum.
The family wishes to extend a very special "Thank You" to Vickie Trout Balz and her very caring staff at Timberline Lodge of Caro. A special "Thank You" is also extended to the staff of Southern Care Hospice of Saginaw for their love and support.
