My husband and I knew Michael as fellow wheelers and also employment in the disability rehabilitation professions.
He was a motivated spark plug who helped found The Disability Network years ago, an organization that continues to provide assistance and job experience to disabled persons in the Flint area.
On a personal level, my husband and I have often seen his unique solutions to his own day to day quest to remain independent in his home and community - a real role model for living life to the fullest. No pity necessary.
Our condolences to his family and friends.
