Obituary of Rodric Arthur Mizer
Rodric Arthur Mizer, age 72 of St. Louis Michigan passed away November 8, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. He was born to Art and Sibyl (Darling) Mizer on March 12 1947. He graduated from St. Louis High School in 1965. He attended Northern Michigan University and Saginaw Valley State University. He served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971, and worked for Hall Lumber, Alma Products, and CML Lumber Company before opening his own business, RAM improvement Garage Doors and Home Repairs, which he operated for 25 years.
Rod played football for St Louis High School and later loved coaching his son in youth baseball and watching him play football. He enjoyed watching his grandsons Zach, Jake and Cam play football and basketball. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed sharing his passion with his son and grandsons. He was a true outdoorsman. He loved camping, four wheeling, snowmobiling, and especially golfing with his friends. He loved his family fiercely and would offer his guidance and wisdom whether they wanted it or not. He was the glue to the Mizer family, no words can describe him.
He survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Jean (Brzak) Mizer; son, Rod (Sarah) Mizer Jr.; 5 grandchildren, Heaven (Tyler) Frantz, Zachary, Jacob, Cameron and Taylor; 4 great-grandchildren, Serenity Lynn, Jayden, Aubrianna, and Zaiden; brother, Allen (Judy) Mizer; nieces and nephews, Alana (Matt) Plotnikiewicz, Shana (Jim) Pawlowski, Chad (Rachael) Mizer, Nick (Justine) Mizer; and many friends who have become beloved family.
