I had the pleasure of knowing Garnet my entire life, pretty much her entire family as well.
Her and Ray were good friends of my parents and we lived in the
same subdivision growing up as children. Kevin and Keith were great friends with my brothers Joey and Wayne and Paul and I became childhood sweethearts. All the kids in our neighborhood loved her and feared her. LOL
She was a great lady and those boys knew she was in charge and meant business. She was a great roll model for her children and all the neighbor kids as well. I quote Mike Seager (she was like a mom to me)
In 1980 Garnet became my mother-in-law for over 20 years. Her greatest moment (in my eyes) was becoming a grandmother.
She was delighted.....and until the day she died she took that roll on as a loving, proud mother to her grandchildren
Rest in Heaven, Garnet you will be missed by so many.
With greatest respect …….Sherri McCarthy
